Kaylee had a great time at our church Christmas Party this Sautrday.

She made a manger scene...

Decorated sugar cookies (not all the kids placed one sprinkle at a time)...

Made a wreath...

Then, Pastor told The Christmas story!

You know, the REAL Christmas story...

NOT Santa...JESUS!

A great time was had by all!

Happy Birthday Lily!

Kaylee was invited to her first birthday party this past weekend.

Lily is a special friend. She came home from China about 6 weeks before Kaylee did.

We ventured on our adoption journey along side Lily's family most of the way, but when China slowed down, we ended up with an LID a month later than the Kings...which ended up with us not travelling with the Kings.

Anyway, needless to say, Lily is 4 months older than Kaylee.

Her family goes to our church and we hope that the girls grow up to be life-long friends! Lily and Kaylee!

She's a Walker!

I would officially call Kaylee a walker. She now walks more than crawls. As a matter of fact, I haven't seen her crawl in about a week!

The physical therapist is still visiting weekly because Kaylee's walk is quite lop-sided. She tends to turn her whole body slightly to the left and walk predominatly with her left side and let her right side follow.

She would still prefer that I carry her. As a matter of fact, Wednesday night we were at church and I wanted her to walk from the Fellowship Hall to the Nursery. Well, I'll be! If she didn't have a HUGE wall-eyed fit right in the middle of the Fellowship Hall! I mean, a screaming, lay on belly, kick feet and beat fists on the floor fit! All because she wanted me to carry her. I finally got her to walk, although screaming all the way!

It's amazing how many parenting tips one receives when her child is having a fit at church!

Well, because I am a stressed out mom, I did not take pictures of my girl on Easter. But...because I am a bit more calm today, I redressed her and took her photo.

Here is my little bunny in the biggest, fluffiest Easter dress I could find (with a matching bow, of course)!

Kaylees Dedication

On Sunday, February 25th, we dedicated our baby girl to the Lord. For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about...this means that as her family, we promise to raise her up knowing Jesus Christ. We present her before the church and our pastor and they pray for her and her upbringing. Here are a few photos to show the moment.
